Christopher Bonsu Baah, the 18-year-old winger currently playing for KRC Genk, has shared details about his football journey, including a trial with Manchester United.

In an interview with De Zondag, Bonsu Baah discussed his early trials at renowned clubs, stating,  "At the age of 14, I was allowed to go to an academy, the Shooting Stars, in Accra, and two years later, an agent brought me to Spain."

The Ghanaian talent elaborated on his trials at prominent clubs, stating, "I was allowed to trial everywhere: at Borussia Dortmund, Barcelona, Manchester United… But because I was not yet 18, I couldn’t get a professional contract. It’s good that I have a lot of patience."

Despite the initial trials, Bonsu Baah eventually joined Sarpsborg 08 in Norway, where he made a significant impact.

His performances caught the attention of KRC Genk, who signed him for a substantial €5.2 million fee.

Since joining Genk, Bonsu Baah has demonstrated his potential, making 14 appearances and contributing with a crucial goal in the current Jupiler Pro League season.

Reflecting on his journey, Bonsu Baah expressed gratitude, stating, "The fact that I can now also play here is the best thing that has ever happened to me in my life."

While it remains to be seen if Manchester United is still monitoring his progress, his continued growth suggests that other top European clubs may soon show interest in the talented winger.
