Black Stars players, Mohammed Kudus and Kamaldeen Suleman have joined forces with three others players: Araphat Mohammed of FC Nordsjaelland, Abdul Hakeem Sulemana of Randers FC on loan at Hillerod and Maxwell Woledzi of Nashville FC, to extend support to this year's Sheikh Sharubutu Ramadan Cup, which will climax the Eid celebration next Monday.

The annual football fiesta brings together Zongo communities at the end of every Ramadan and this year's edition, the 11th since it was introduced in 2015, will be played at the Madina Astro Turf on Monday March 23, 2026, with 16 Zongo communities participating.

Mohammed Kudus, last year offered support to the 10th edition of the tournament and has followed his example once again, with another support this year, together with his colleague, Kamaldeen Suleman and the other youngsters.

Just as last year, Kudus and his friends have decided to donate sets of jerseys for the finalists, a trophy, winners and runners up medals, as well as prizes for outstanding performers.

Confirming the players' warm gesture, the official page of the prestigious tournament extended gratitude to the players for their support and goodwill.

The 2026 edition of the Ramadan Cup was initially scheduled for Sunday March 22, but organisers have announced that it's been pushed a day forward to Monday March 23, which has been declared a public holiday as part of the Eid celebration.
