Tottenham Hotspur head coach Thomas Frank has confirmed that Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus will be sidelined until after the March international break following a thigh injury.

Kudus picked up the problem during Tottenham’s match against Sunderland on 4 January, with Frank revealing that the injury occurred off the ball, making it a frustrating setback for both player and club.

Speaking about the situation, Frank said the decision to rule the midfielder out was taken to avoid further risk and ensure a full recovery.

“It’s a thigh injury and unfortunately he will be out until after the March international break,” Frank confirmed.

The news comes as a blow for Tottenham, who have relied on Kudus’ energy, creativity and goal threat in midfield. The Ghana international has been a key figure this season, and his absence will leave a noticeable gap in the team during a busy period.

For Kudus, the focus will now be on rehabilitation, with the hope of returning fully fit in time for the final stretch of the campaign and international duty with Ghana later in the year.

Tottenham’s medical team will continue to monitor his progress closely, while Frank and his staff are expected to adjust their plans in midfield as they cope without one of their most influential players.
