Kufuor, Bawumia make cash donations to support KABA’s funeral

Former President John Agyekum Kufuor, Vice President Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, businessman Ibrahim Mahama and owner of Despite Group of Companies were among the many individuals and companies that have donated towards the late Kwadwo Asare Baffour Acheampong’s (KABA) funeral.
They made cash donations of undisclosed amounts to the family at the one-week celebration of the late Asempa FM presenter’s passing.
The event held at the forecourt of the Multimedia Group at Kokomlemle in Accra on Saturday,November 25, 2017 saw hundreds come to contribute their widow’s mite towards the funeral of the late ‘Ekosii Sen’ presenter.
Other donors included Rex Omar, Mathew Nyidam, Auntie Maggie of City & City, Richmond Boamah (SCB), Nana Takyi Bitters, Class Media Group, Kwame Kuma (GPRTU Chairman), Isaac Appiah, Alan Kyeremanten, Chamber of Petroleum, Amofa Kingdom, Togbui Loli I, Awomifie of Aiito.
Apart from cash donations some individuals and companies also donated cartons of their products including alcoholic beverages, soft drinks and water.
Thy included Kasapreko, Global Media Alliance, Atinka Media Village as well as the Techiman Senior High School Class of 1999.
KABA died on November 18, 2017, at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after a short illness. He was survived by a wife, Valentina Ofori Afriyie and a seven-month-old baby girl.
Meanwhile the family of the deceased have fixed December 16, 2017 for the burial of the late broadcaster in Accra
