Ghanaian striker Kwaku Karikari showcased his skills in a losing effort as AC Horsens fell 3-2 to Odense BK at Nature Energy Park in the Danish 1. Division.
Karikari played a pivotal role in his team’s fightback, setting up the first equalizer in the 25th minute. He delivered a precise pass into the box for Sebastian Pingel, who made no mistake in finishing past the Odense goalkeeper.
Odense initially took the lead through Luca Kjerrumgaard, but Jakob Bonde restored the home side's advantage before halftime with a deflected strike.
In the second half, Mihajlo Ivancevic added another goal for Odense, making it 3-1 with a powerful header.
Karikari, however, refused to let his team go down without a fight. In the 59th minute, he scored a header off a well-placed cross from Mikkel Kallesøe, narrowing the deficit to 3-2.
Despite strong efforts from Horsens, they couldn’t manage another goal to equalize.
With three goals and two assists in 15 appearances this season, Karikari continues to impress for AC Horsens.
They will look to regroup and bounce back in their next match against HB Køge on November 24.
