The incumbent Member of Parliament for the Cape Coast South constituency who also doubles as the Parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Kweku Ricketts-Hagan has retained his seat in Parliament.

It was a repeat of the skirt and blouse that is gaining prominence in the Central Region as the NDC parliamentary candidate won the Parliamentary but the President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo won the Presidential elections in the constituency.

Mr Kweku Ricketts-Hagan, a former Deputy Finance Minister polled 21,118 while the Chief Executive of the Cape Coast Municipal Assembly, Mr Ernest Arthur of the NPP garnered 19,714.

Meanwhile President Akufo Addo polled 20,593, of the 47,225 votes cast while former President John Mahama polled 19,694 votes.
