Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has spoken fondly about striker Kwabena Owusu ahead of the decisive game against Guinea-Bissau on Tuesday.

The Leganes forward was hugely impressive after coming on as a substitute in the 0-0 draw with Cameroon.

He brought fresh impetus and pace to Ghana’s attack and came close grabbing the winner late in the game only for him to see his effort hit cross bar.

His contribution didn’t go unnoticed by his coach who lauded the youngster’s talent and touted him as the next big thing for Ghana Football.

“Kwabena Owusu did well when he came on and players like him are the future. And we are looking at given each and everyone the opportunity when the time arises”

The Black Stars have had to endure a difficult start to their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations campaign.

Kwesi Appiah’s men remain winless after back to back draws in the country’s opening two matches.

Only a win against Guinea-Bissau in their final Group F game on Tuesday will ensure the four-time Champions progress to the knock out stages
