Ghanaian forward Kwesi Appiah played a crucial role in Boreham Wood's successful campaign, helping the club secure promotion to the National League with a 1-0 victory over Maidstone United in the play-off final.

The former Black Stars striker came off the bench with 20 minutes left to help his side see out the win, replacing match-winner Charles Clayden in a tense finale.

Appiah was instrumental throughout the season, finishing as Boreham Wood's top scorer with 24 goals in 35 matches. His contributions were vital in pushing the team into the play-offs, where he made two more key appearances.

Following the club’s promotion, the 34-year-old forward celebrated a personal triple crown—Players’ Player of the Season, Supporters’ Player of the Season, and the Golden Boot—recognizing his outstanding impact.

Sharing his joy on social media, Appiah wrote: “What an incredible ride this season. Buzzing it ended in Promotion! Honoured. Humbled. Now it’s time to rest, reset, and prepare for the next challenge. The journey continues!”

Having previously featured for clubs including Crystal Palace and Crawley Town, Appiah now hopes to continue with Boreham Wood as they set their sights on climbing to League One next season.
