In a rigorous and closely contested process during the Elective Congress held on Thursday, five individuals have been elected to represent the Premier League clubs on the Executive Council.
The elected Premier League representatives are as follows:
- Dr. Ransford Abbey (12 votes)
- Frederick Acheampong (11 votes)
- Nana Sarfo Oduro (10 votes)
- James Kwesi Appiah (10 votes)
- Kingsley Osei Bonsu (12 votes)
During the initial round of voting, Dr. Ransford Abbey, Frederick Acheampong, Nana Sarfo Oduro, and James Kwesi Appiah emerged as the top four candidates. However, the fifth spot was hotly contested, necessitating a third round of voting. In this decisive round, Kingsley Osei Bonsu and Elleony Amande both received 9 votes in the first round.
Ultimately, in the third round of voting, Kingsley Osei Bonsu secured the fifth spot with 12 votes, surpassing Elleony Amande by a margin of 6 votes.
These five individuals have earned the mandate to represent Premier League clubs on the Executive Council for the next four years.
