Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has revealed he will recall Kevin-Prince Boateng into his squad if he shows remorse, five years after being frozen out of the national team.

Boateng, who recently completed a shock move to FC Barcelona, is serving an indefinite suspension from the Black Stars after he verbally abused the Ghanaian gaffer during the country's wrecked 2014 FIFA World Cup campaign in Brazil.

The 31-year-old completed his move to the Catalan club on loan at the end of the season from Italian Serie A side, US Sassuolo on Monday evening, leading for calls for his immediate return to the team.

But Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah has revealed he will only recall the former AC Milan star into his squad after he offers an apology.

In a post shared by Gary Al-Smith on his facebook page after speaking to the coach of the Black Stars, Kwesi Appiah said, “looking at how Kevin [Prince Boateng] is playing now, if he should write a letter to apologise, I’ll invite him because it is about the country not about any individual”.
