Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is set to intensify monitoring of European leagues before naming his squad for the 2019 African Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that the gaffer may visit Kevin-Prince Boateng of Barcelona and Sulley Muntari on this tour.

Ghanaguardian.com also gathers that Appiah intends to use his trip to Europe to see as many members of his potential squad as possible.

The 2019 AFCON will start from Saturday June 7 through to Sunday June 30.

The four-time champions are seeking to end their 37-year wait for continental success, having won their last title in 1982.

Kwesi Appiah's side have come close to ending their drought at the last six tournaments, having reached the semi-finals, and even going as far as the final in 2010 and 2015.
