Three (3) persons are currently in the grips of the Kyebi police for allegedly insulting the Okyenhene, Osagyefuo Amoatia Ofori Panin II.

The three suspects; Gabriel Oppong, 25, Patrick Frimpong, 30 and Jacob Arhin were in a car traveling from Anyinam to Kyebi when they decided to slam the king.

A lady identified as Suzzy Owuredu, a native from Kyebi who was not happy with the attitudes being displayed in the vehicle then called the Ofori Panin fie to report the unexpected behaviour of the men.

According to the report, the suspects allegedly described the Okyenhene in their insults as stupid and also used other unprintable words on him.

DSP Ebenezer Tetteh, the Regional Police Public Relations Officer who confirmed the incident said some servants at the palace then rushed to the scene to confront the suspects.

He said they stopped the vehicle bound for Anyinam from Accra Enroute Kyebi in the town and arrested the suspects to the Palace for questioning.

He explained that the police when had the information stormed to the palace and met the suspects at the open space being questioned by the servants.

He added that the Police went in for the suspects to be interrogated.
