The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has lost a dedicated supporter, who was allegedly shot by the bodyguard of Laud Commey at the Ablekuma Central constituency.


Ibrahim Abbas was shot on the 7th of December during the collation of election results at the constituency.

The unnamed shooter, who was clad in military uniform on the day, is reprted to be a body guard to Laud Commey, who is the Director of Operations at The Jubliee House.

Mr Commey has been blamed by the NDC for using his political influence at the Jubilee House to terrorise his political opponents and was recently linked with the shootings at Odododiodio constituency prior to the December elections.

At the collation center at the Odokor Divisional Police Headquarters a brawl occurred leading to gunshots which injured about 4 people.

Ibrahim Abass, who a polling agent for the NDC, happens to be a brother to the party's Constituency Women organizer Hajia Rahinat.


Ibrahim Abass died on Wednesday morning at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital where he was receiving treatment.
