Background

Sarkodie, Kurl Songx, have been served with notice of intention to sue by Kloma Hengme, a Krobo Youth group for using words they discribe as offensive in the ‘Jennifer Lomotey’ song against Krobo women.

The letter sighted by Kasapafmonline.com is signed by their lawyer Kwadwo Appiagyei-Atua (Dr) Solicitor and Barrister-at-Law, was presented to David Kojo Kyei aka Kaywa, the manager of the artiste on Wednesday, June 14, 2017.

The letter comes after an earlier press statement, where they demanded that the song be edited to remove the section they found to be derogatory to the women of Krobo.

The lead counsel of the youth group gave the artiste and his management one week to act on their list of demands or face legal action.

Among these demands include the removal of the lyrics the group found offensive or ban the song completely; a written letter of apology to the Chief and people of the Krobo Traditional Area for using defamatory words against them as well as issuing a full statement pledging to never repeat such actions again.

They demanded a compensation of GHC 2,000,000 to the people of Krobo for tarnishing their name.
