The injury curse is not hitting hard only at the doord of the Black Stars of Ghana with several players pulling out of the Afcon qualifier double header against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.

South Africa have handed a late call up to Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lebogang Manyama ahead of their Afcon qualifier games against Ghana and Sudan.

The midfield creator replaces the hardworking Themba Zwane in the squad following an injury complaint.

He last played for the Bafana Bafana some two years ago and will be hoping his latest inclusion will remind coach Molefe and his technical team of his talents.

“Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lebogang Manyama has been called up to Bafana Bafana for the two crucial Cameroon 2021 Africa Cup of Nations clashes against Ghana and Sudan,” reads a statement on the South Africa Football official website on Monday.

“Manyama, who has already reported for national team duty, replaces the injured Themba Zwane of Mamelodi Sundowns.”

The talented midfielder has scored thrice and provided four assists in twelve league games for Kaizer Chiefs this season.
