Legon Cities coach, Paa Kwesi Fabin, has attributed their 3-1 loss to Kotoko on Saturday to the fact that his players did not adhere to the instructions given during the halftime break.
Cities initially took the lead in the 26th minute with Nasiru Moro's beautifully executed free-kick, but Kotoko equalized through Suleman Mohammed's own goal in the 66th minute.
Lamptey then assisted Mukwala in putting Kotoko in front in the 74th minute, and Isaac Oppong sealed the victory with Kotoko's third goal in stoppage time at 92 minutes.
Fabin expressed his disappointment, stating, "I think we did well in the first half. I gave them specific instructions in the second half, but they came and did different things. When you are playing against a team like Kotoko who have more experience, you get punished, and we got punished."
Following this defeat, Legon Cities finds themselves in the relegation zone after failing to secure a win in their last five matches.
Their upcoming challenge is an away game against Great Olympics.
The coach will be looking for a turnaround in form to lift the team from their current predicament.
