Legendary Ghanaian rapper Big Joe Frazier believes that past rappers like Lord Kenya and Obrafour could have won numerous BET awards if the award scheme had existed during their era.

When discussing who the Greatest Rapper of All Time (GOAT)
in Ghana is, Big Joe Frazier explained that current rappers winning awards such as BET awards and having major international collaborations does not necessarily make them better than rappers from the past.

He added that Lord Kenya and Obrafour would have won many BET awards considering the number of hit songs they produced during their era.

“The current rappers are doing great but let’s face the truth. If during the reign and era of Lord Kenya and Obrafour we had the BET awards, they would have won a lot of them.

“Those days, every song on their album, side A, side B and Side C were all hit songs,” Big Joe Fraizer said in an exclusive interview on Okay FM.

When asked who his GOAT is, Big Joe Frazier named the legendary rapper Obrafour.

According to him, Obrafour was lyrically outstanding and consistently delivered electrifying stage performances for music lovers.

“For me, Obrafour is the greatest rapper of all time. We it comes to rap its Obrafour, when it comes to stage performance, it is Obrafour.”

In response to claims that Sarkodie is the GOAT, Big Joe Frazier acknowledged the rapper's accomplishments but encouraged all music lovers to let the rapper finish his successful career before including him in the GOAT debate.
