The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Lower Manya Krobo Municipality in the Eastern Region, Simon Tetteh has got his name on the lips of the residents of the area following the massive developmental projects taken under his watch.

The people have since appealed to the President, Nana Akufo-Addo, to consider the good works done by their MCE and retain him in his second term.

According to the residents, changing the Hon. Simon Tetteh will cause a delay in the progress of the area considering the dedicated services he has rendered to the Municipality.

The residents including sub-chiefs, market women and the youth disclosed that the MCE performed extremely well in his first term and that he will do even much better if he is re-appointed.

They made these remarks when the Eastern Regional Minister, Hon. Seth Acheampong cut sod for the construction of a 3-storey-building Business Resource Center and 1.2km road at Odumase Krobo.

Speaking on behalf of the Paramount Chief of the Manya Krobo Traditional Council, Nene Sakite II, the Asafoakye of Manya Krobo Traditional Area, Nene Teye Ajisu III said he was thankful to President Akufo-Addo for his commitment to the development of the Kroboland.

He also appealed to the Minister to used his office to ensure that all ongoing projects are completed on schedule and also reappoint the MCE for the second term.

In his remarks, Hon. Seth Kwame Acheampong assured the people of Kroboland of the government's readiness to developing the area.

He said the region's proximity to Accra has made it a potentially viable destination for investors and urged Nananom, Municipal/District Assemblies, and other stakeholders to put up a proper plan taking into consideration Sanitation, physical planning as well as sustainable peace.

The Municipal Chief Executive for the area, Hon. Simon Tetteh also thanked President Nana Akufo-Addo for his commitment to the development of the Municipality.

He indicated that the two projects which have a contract duration of ten months were aimed at improving the economic activities of the Municipality and improve the standard of living of the people.

He, therefore, affirmed that the Assembly would collaborate well with the contractors to ensure that they deliver quality work that would serve both current and future generations.
