Loyal Thomas Party blocking his Arsenal move

Ghanaian international Thomas Partey reported to be exhibiting loyalty to Atletico Madrid as he has left his future into the hands of the Spanish side amid strong interest from Arsenal.

A Spanish media report indicates the deputy skipper of the Black Stars is not so enthused to push for a transfer to the EPL

Thomas Partey won’t force a move away from Atletico Madrid, reports say.

The Ghana international is Mikel Arteta’s main priority ahead of the deadline. But it appears the Gunners won’t be helped by the player himself.

Arsenal transfer target Thomas Partey won’t force a move away from Atletico Madrid, reports say. The Ghana international is Mikel Arteta’s main priority ahead of the deadline. But it appears the Gunners won’t be helped by the player himself.

Not content with signing Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes, Arteta wants more.

The Arsenal boss has done a stellar job at the Emirates since his appointment earlier in the year, helping the Gunners win the FA Cup and Community Shield and secure Europa League football in the process.

Now, however, he wants to sign Partey.

He’s dreaming of pairing the Ghana international alongside Granit Xhaka in midfield, with the 27-year-old impressing in La Liga with his slick displays for the Spanish side over the years.

Yet while Partey is uncertain about his future, Spanish newspaper Marca say he won’t be trying to force a move away from the club.
