South African rapper, Jabulani Tsambo, popularly known as HHP,(Hip Hop Pantsula) has been confirmed dead.

His wife and publicist, Lerato Sengadi, confirmed the news to TimesLIVE, saying, “Yes, yes, it’s true. I am with the family at the moment.”

Jabulani Tsambo‚ who was popularly known as HHP‚ had in the past opened up about suffering from depression.

Two years ago, it was reported that he had admitted to attempting suicide three times in 2015 and that he had visited an online suicide website in an attempt to help him get information on how to end his life.

Nothing official has been said about how the 38-year-old rapper passed, but other artists, including Ghanaian rapper M.anifest who had collaborated with him in past, Nigeria’s M.I., AKA and Cassper Nyovest, have taken to social media to mourn his death.
