South African Football Association has announced that it has called off their proposed friendly game with Madascar.
In a statement posted on its social media platforms, the South African football governing body says the decision was arrived after Madagascar decided not to attend the game.
"SAFA regrets to inform the public that the match between Bafana Bafana and Madagascar scheduled for this coming Saturday (7 September) has been called off after the visitors (Madagascar) decided to withdraw from the encounter."
South African recently named little known Molefi Ntseki as their new head coach after his appointment was unanimously confirmed by the organisation’s national executive committee.
Ntseki, 50, led South Africa to the Under-17 World Cup in Chile in 2015 and worked as assistant to former coach Stuart Baxter at the recent Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt, but has never been a head coach in the country's top-flight.
This would have been his first test as coach of Bafana Bafana.
