Ghana's President, John Dramani Mahama, has dissolved all statutory boards, commissions, and councils that were appointed by former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
According to a statement from the Presidency, issued by Acting Spokesperson Felix Ofosu Kwakye, the dissolution took effect on January 7, following Mahama's swearing-in.
However, this action does not impact independent constitutional bodies.
Additionally, the management of state institutions lacking boards is instructed to obtain approval from the Chief of Staff before making significant decisions.
