President John Dramani Mahama made a symbolic appearance at the NASDAQ Stock Exchange in New York ahead of the U.S.-Ghana Executive Business Roundtable, organised by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC).
The high-level roundtable will bring together American investors and Ghanaian business leaders to strengthen trade relations, showcase Ghana’s investment opportunities, and deepen bilateral economic cooperation.
President Mahama’s presence at NASDAQ highlighted Ghana’s commitment to positioning itself as a competitive investment hub and reflected the growing importance of Africa’s emerging markets in the global financial landscape.
The meeting comes at a time of renewed U.S.-Africa economic engagement, with Ghana seeking to leverage its role as host of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat to attract long-term foreign direct investment.
Participants from key sectors including energy, finance, agriculture, and technology are expected to explore new pathways for private sector collaboration between the two countries.
