Former President John Dramani Mahama has visited the family of the late Kwaku Agyemang at Naama, a small farming village, in the Effiduase constituency of the Ashanti Region to mourn with them.

The deceased was among delegates from the Effiduase constituency who were involved in a motor accident near the Elwak Stadium on the day the National Democratic Congress (NDC) held its national delegates congress at the Trade Fair Centre at La in Accra.

The accident occurred in the afternoon of Saturday, 17 November 2018, when the driver of the vehicle lost control of the steering wheel and veered off the road into a ditch, as he attempted to prevent crashing into other vehicles that were on the road.

Among the injured are three constituency executives of the party’s Mpraeso branch in the Eastern Region including Constituency Secretary Osei Bonsu.

Mr. Mahama expressed his condolence and prayed for the family to be strong.

He said the party will liaise with the family to give the late Kwaku Agyemang a befitting burial.

For his part, the spokesperson of the family commended former President Mahama and the leadership of the NDC for showing concern and support for the bereaved family.

The final funeral rites and burial is expected to be held on the 13th of December, 2018.
