President John Mahama needs a lesson in peace building far more than the NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo, the Ashanti regional chairman of the NPP Bernard Antwi Bosiako has stated.

In the view of the NPP firebrand, Nana Addo proved his peaceful nature by his acceptance of the verdict of the election petition case.

He said even though the former attorney had basis to reject the judgment of the apex court on the matter, he allowed the interest of the nation to override his personal desire.

“Akufo-Addo knew definitely that the NDC and the EC had cheated him and all Ghanaians, but he said I don’t agree but I accept the verdict. That tells you how peaceful our leader; the NPP leader Nana Akufo-Addo is, so what peace again do they want.

“Between the one who has stolen our votes, the one who in spite of ‘No verification, No Vote’ ordered the EC to allow everyone to vote, and the one who knew they had cheated him but said I accept the results, who is more violent? Who must be spoken to about peace? I think President Mahama needs peace talks more than Nana Akufo-Addo. So anyone who comes to talk to me about peace wants to take me for a fool,” the maverick politician told Paul Adom-Otchere on Good Evening Ghana on Metro TV.

He also served notice that he will annex all the 47 seats in the Ashanti region for the NPP in the upcoming polls, warning the NDC to forget any intentions of “negotiating” him out of his plans for the polls.
