Black Meteors midfielder Majeed Ashimeru made a brief cameo appearance in his sides Champions League game against Liverpool on Tuesday evening.

Red Bull Salzburg were beaten by Champions League holders Liverpool at the Red Bull Arena in a must win encounter for both teams.

The Ghanaian came on as a substitute for  Dominik Szoboszlai in the 89th minute when the die was already cast as his team were losing by two goals to nil.

Two quick goals from the African duo of Naby Keita and Mohammmed Salah from an almost impossible angle helped Liverpool to all three points in a game which they badly needed all three points to ensure qualification.

Red Bull Salzburg who finshed third have dropped into Europe's second tier competition that is the Europa League.
