Ghana international Abdul Majeed Waris reached a new milestone in France after scoring his 30th goal in the Ligue 1 in Nantes' 2-0 win over Montpellier.
The striker scored the opener as FC Nantes cruised to a comfortable victory in front of their fans at the Stade de la Beaujoire on Tuesday night.
Waris, who previously played for Valenciennes, Lorient and now Nantes celebrated his new achievement on social media insisting there is more to come.
The 27-year-old striker scored nine goals for Valenciennes in the 2013/14 season before adding nineteen in his two-year stay at FC Lorient.
The forward has now scored twice for Nantes in the French Ligue 1 increasing his tally to 30 goals.
Nantes hailed the Ghana international by posting on Twitter," By opening the goal scoring against Montpellier. Waris reached the symbolic mark of 30 goals in the French Ligue 1 yesterday."
Meanwhile, Majeed Waris has now scored four goals in all competitions for the club since joining in the summer from Portuguese champions Porto.
The on-loan forward could make his switch permanent if he convinces manager Vahid Halilhodži?
