Crime as the immediate past Inspector General of Police posits is everywhere except in heaven where there is peace and tranquility reigning but the recent incidents of spousal killings is sickening.

The latest incident has occurred at Degede a suburb of Bibiani in the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Municipality of the Western North Region.

After threatening his then husband, Emmanuel Okyere Baffour of divorce and carrying through with her word, 26 year old Joyce Johnes Affi Jacika has allegedly been murdered in cold blood by her husband.

The lady who was not happy with happenings in their marriage had been threatening his husband that he will divorce him despite persistent pleas from the man the lady packed her belongings to her parents house.

According to the Bibiani Anhwiaso Bekwai Divisional Crime Officer, Superintendent Seth Serwonu relatives of the deceased reported to the Police that their daughter has been stabbed and killed by an unknown person in her room in  their house.

The Police went to the scene of the crime and saw the body of the deceased lying in a poll of blood with countless stab wounds whiles covered with clothes.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the lady had packed out of her matrimonial home for her parents house after persistent troubles by her husband.

The disgruntled husband on Thursday 6th August,2021 sneaked into the house of his in-laws around 12:00pm when the parents of the deceased were not around and stabbed her to death with a knife.

After stabbing her multiple times he covered the body of his wife with clothes and bolted.

The Police have conveyed the corpse to the Bibiani Hospital mortuary for preservation awaiting autopsy.
