A young Nigerian man identified as Okohwan Kelvin has been arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The commission released a statement on Facebook, addressing the arrest.
The young man was reportedly arrested for hacking over one hundred Facebook accounts.
The commission also revealed that Kelvin sold the accounts he hacked to other internet fraudsters to use for operations.
The EFCC also explained that the arrest was made after discreet monitoring of Kelvin's online activities.
The commission said it started monitoring his activities online after reports were made by members of the public, who alleged that he hacked their accounts.
According to the commission, the culprit used a hacking method generated from a website for hackers.
