Abubakar Sadick, popularly known as Cyborg, has been convicted and fined GH¢24,000 for unlawfully discharging a firearm at the AfroFuture concert.
The conviction comes a day after his arrest, which followed the circulation of a viral video showing him firing several warning shots during the event. In the footage, Sadick acknowledged that his actions were illegal but said the shots were fired in honour of Nigerian artiste Asake, who was performing at the concert.
Speaking at a press conference, the Director-General of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), COP Lydia Yaako Donkor, confirmed that Sadick has paid the fine imposed by the court. She also disclosed that his firearm licence has been revoked.
