A Business Administration student at the University of Ghana, Mariam Owusu-Poku has been crowned this year's queen at the 2018 Miss Malaika pageantry.
The grand finale of the keenly contested competition was held last night Saturday, November 3, 2018 at the National Theatre in Accra.
Mariam beat off stiff competition from nine other contestants to emerge winner.
The 2018 Miss Malaika final had a star-studded cast with Joselyn Dumas, Jackie Appiah, Naa Ashorkor, James Gardiner and Lexis Bill constituting the judging panel.
All 10 finalists of the competition took turns to perform, gave various speeches and cat-walked gorgeously in their elegant apparels in a bid to impress the judges.
However, it was Mariam who shined brightest at the end of it all as she was crowned the new queen of the pageantry.
Evelyn also emerged as the 1st runner-up, while Rosetta came in third-place at the 2018 Miss Malaika contest.
To thrill patrons, were singers MzVee, Kuami Eugene, KiDi and Wendy Shay.
