It appears Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani are trying to set up a reunion of former AC Milan players and even coaches.
Maverick striker Mario Balotelli has joined Italian Serie B side AC Monza after Kevin Prince Boateng joined them in the summer.
The 30 year old striker has been without a club since leaving hometown side Brescia who were relegated last season from the Italian Serie A.
He has signed a contract with the ambitious Serie B side until June 2021 as he bids to resurrect his stalling career.
“Mario Balotelli comes to reinforce Monza and has signed a contract until June 30, 2021,” the club wrote in a statement.
“[After a stint at Manchester City] Silvio Berlusconi and Adriano Galliani brought him back to Italy in January 2013, and he helped bring Milan to the Champions League by scoring 12 goals in Serie A.
“After a year and a half at the Rossoneri, with 26 goals in the League, he had a new prestigious experience in England with Liverpool. In January 2016, he returned to Milan, where he was also coached by Christian Brocchi, who now finds himself at Monza together with former Milan teammate Kevin-Prince Boateng.
“Balotelli is one of only seven footballers who from January 1, 2000, has scored at least 20 goals in three of the top five European Leagues. Welcome Mario!”.
