Former Hearts of Oak MD Mark Noonan has sent a good will message to the Phonians ahead of the Normalisation Committee Special competition.

The 20 times league Champions will open their campaign against Dreams FC at Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

Mark Noonan, who among other reasons, resigned from his job due to lack of football action in the country, expressed his happiness over the return of the domestic football action.

"Very happy for all concerned to see the @ghanafaofficial Normalisation Committee Cup finally get off the ground," he said in a tweet.

"Best of luck to my guys @HeartsOfOakGH #AHOSC."

The GFA Normalization Committee  officially launched Special football tournament  Monday at the FA headquarters

and is set to commence this weekend, March 30 and 31.

The competition designed to replace the truncated Ghana Premier League and the lower division leagues will kick start this weekend with 63 clubs confirming their participation.

The winners of the competition will represent Ghana at the 2019/20 inter-club competition
