AshantiGold continued their impressive start to the season with a hard fought 1-0 win over Karela United at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

The league leaders were clearly the better side in the first 45 minutes but a resolute Karela United defense kept them at bay.

The Miners finally got the breakthrough in the 56th minute through Richard Osei Agyemang and that was enough to maintain their 100% start to the season.

C.K Akunnor’s men have now won their opening three games, scoring 5 goals in the process and conceding just 1.

They lead the Ghana Premier league standings with 9 points after Matchday 3.
