'May Allah curse me if I received and sold security services slots' - Kobina Ghansah

The Member of Parliament for Asikuma-Odobeng-Brakwa, Kobina Ghansah, has called on God to rain curses on him if he has ever received even a single recruitment slot for the security services and sold it.
In an interview with Kasapa News' Yaw Boagyan, shared on social media, the MP responded to accusations from members of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in his constituency.
They allege that he secured recruitment slots for the youth in his area to join various security services but sold the slots, thus denying his constituents the opportunity to serve their country.
He vehemently denied the accusations, stating that despite his efforts over the years, no youth from his constituency had been recruited into any of the security services.
"It is surprising that in Asikuma/Odobeng/Brakwa, ever since I became the MP, it has been my wish for some of the youth of this constituency to be recruited into the security services.
Despite my efforts, more than 200 applicants from this constituency advanced to the next stage of the recruitment process, but due to political reasons, not a single person was successfully recruited," he explained.
"Yet, people are going around alleging that I was given slots and sold them. Wherever I stand to address this issue, as a Muslim, I pray and ask God that if I had even one slot in the Police, Fire Service, or Immigration and sold it, may the Almighty God rain curses on me. I beat my chest and say that God should curse me because I know I am innocent," the MP stated confidently.
Kobina Ghansah also assured the youth in his area who had applied for recruitment that their dreams would be realized if the NDC Flagbearer wins the upcoming December 7 elections.
