Controversial Ghanaian songstress, Belinda Nana Ekua Amoah widely known as Mzbel has made a startling disclosure on her relationship with Maxwell Mensah, husband of actress Nana Ama McBrown.

The mother of one revealed that Mr. Mensah had proposed marriage to her when they were together.

But according to her, she was not ready for marriage at that time when she was in a relationship with him.

It was rumoured some years ago that Maxwell Mensah used to warm the bed of sultry singer, Mzbel.

But Mzbel has dispelled those rumours saying they never had sex when they were dating.

“McBrown isn’t my friend but I’m cool with her. The last time I saw her was when I went on her first show ‘Aben’. 

“I never had sex with Maxwell when we were in a relationship. He was my ‘toy’ [not in a bad way] but cuddling kind of. Maxwell wanted to get married but I wasn’t ready so I’ve to let him go. That is why he got married to Nana Ama McBrown,” Mzbel stated

Commenting on why she is still single, Mzbel disclosed that she has seen many marriages failed so wants to wait for the right time.

According to her, she is currently dating someone who has invested so much in her and he is known by her family.

“I have a man in my life who is known by my family and has spent so much on me. I’ve seen a lot of failed marriages so nothing will push me to also get into it.

“My lover and I are happy in the relationship. At some point, we wanted to officially announce our marriage but we declined. We do what married couples do so I’m okay.” She added
