Medeama SC were tipped as title favourites but that has not been the case as the team is struggling to replicate the form they showed in the truncated 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season.

They have sold their two leading attackers Prince Opoku Agyemang and Nana Kofi Babil who scored the majority of their goals without adequately replacing them.

Coach of the side Samuel Boadu has blamed their inability to score goals for their slump in the ongoing Ghana Premier League.

The Tarkwa based side in their match day 6 game at home drew blanks against Liberty Professionals.

Speaking during the post game press conference, he said, “The little I can say is that we have not been clinical in front of goal. The striking ability has been our main problem this season”

“Our mentality was to win against Liberty but things did not go as expected. Our opponent too strategy worked to perfection for them” he said.

The Mauve and Yellows are lying 13th on the league log with six points after six games.
