Medeama SC is reportedly on the verge of appointing Nebojsa Kapor as their new head coach following a disappointing 3-0 defeat to Yanga SC in the CAF Champions League.

The current head coach, Evans Adotey, will return to his previous role as technical director.

Kapor, a Bosnian tactician, was present with the team during their recent trip to Tanzania and is expected to take over the coaching duties soon.

His appointment comes at a crucial time for Medeama, who have struggled both domestically and internationally.

Medeama has had a challenging campaign in the CAF Champions League, winning only one game and suffering heavy defeats against Al Ahly and Yanga SC.

In the Ghana Premier League, they find themselves trailing league leaders Aduana FC by 11 points, despite having played fewer games.

Nebojsa Kapor is familiar with the Ghanaian football landscape and has been monitoring Medeama's performance.

He is enthusiastic about taking on the challenge and is expected to seek guidance from Adotey, who led the club to their first Ghana Premier League title last season and historic qualification to the group stage of the CAF Champions League.

The coaching change is viewed as a bold move by Medeama to rejuvenate their fortunes in both domestic and international competitions.

With Kapor at the helm, the club aims to reverse their recent struggles and contend for trophies on multiple fronts.
