The Ghanaian duo of Michael Baidoo and striker Jalal Abdullai were both on the scoresheet for their club side IF Elfsborg as they defeated Pafos FC 5-2 in their Europa League Qualification Round 1 match on Thursday.

Baidoo started and played for 62 minutes, while Abdullai made a significant impact after coming on in the 57th minute.

The game took a dramatic turn when Pafos defender João Correia was shown a red card in the 16th minute.

Despite this, Pafos equalized with an own goal and a strike from Vlad Dragomir.

However, Elfsborg took control in the second half with Baidoo scoring in the 48th minute, followed by Andri Baldursson's goal a minute later.

Abdullai extended Elfsborg's lead in the 59th minute, assisted by Baidoo before Arber Zeneli sealed the victory with a goal in the 86th minute.

With an aggregate score of 2-8, Elfsborg advances to the next round. The team will now focus on their upcoming Allsvenskan game against Mjallby.

Compatriot Terry Yegbe played the full game for Elfsborg, while Patrick Twumasi represented Pafos, coming on in the 76th minute.
