Ghanaian football legend Michael Essien has successfully completed the UEFA Certificate in Football Management (CFM) course tailored for players.
This program equips former and current players with knowledge in key areas such as world football organization, strategic management, performance management, and operational management.
Essien, the former Chelsea star, dedicated nine months to completing the course, which involved nine online modules alongside three in-person sessions.
This latest achievement adds to the UEFA A License he secured last year, further bolstering his qualifications for a career in football management.
Expressing his excitement on social media, Essien shared, "Football doesn’t end at the final whistle. Proud to have completed the UEFA Certificate in Football Management - Players’ Edition over the past 9 months — gaining skills for life after the game.
It’s been an incredible journey, learning how to lead and shape football’s future, off the pitch."
Essien is currently working as an individual Talent Coach at Danish Superliga club FC Nordsjaelland, where he continues to nurture the next generation of football talent.
