Former Liverpool forward Michael Owen has pointed to Bournemouth's Antoine Semenyo as a potential successor to Mohamed Salah, should the Egyptian star leave Anfield.

Salah's contract is set to expire at the end of the season, leaving him free to negotiate with other clubs starting in January.

The forward has hinted at a possible exit, stating, "I haven’t received any proposal. We’re almost in December, and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay at the club… I’m probably more out than in."

While Owen believes Salah will likely stay for the time being, he suggested that Semenyo could be a viable option for Liverpool's attacking line in the event of Salah's departure.

The Ghanaian forward has been in excellent form this season, scoring five Premier League goals, including key strikes against Manchester United and Manchester City.

Owen praised Semenyo's performances, noting, "I don’t think Mo Salah will leave this season, but in the event he leaves, I would be surprised if Liverpool don’t consider Semenyo as a replacement."

With Semenyo's rising reputation in the Premier League, Owen’s endorsement further elevates the forward's profile as one of the top up-and-coming talents in English football.
