In a thrilling MLS playoff match, Minnesota United emerged victorious over Real Salt Lake with a 3-1 penalty shootout win after a 1-1 draw in regular time at Allianz Field.

Minnesota took the lead in the 53rd minute when Kelvin Yeboah, who completed a full 90 minutes on the field, displayed impressive vision to assist Joseph Rosales.

Yeboah found Rosales in open space, and the midfielder struck a precise shot to give Minnesota a 1-0 advantage.

Real Salt Lake, however, responded in the 75th minute with Emeka Eneli scoring a composed equalizer past Minnesota's goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair.

With the score level at full time, the match headed into a tense penalty shootout. Minnesota's composure paid off, with Yeboah, Hassani Dotson, and Sang-bin Jeong all converting their penalties.

St. Clair made decisive saves to secure the 3-1 shootout victory.

Minnesota United now looks ahead to their next MLS playoff fixture against LA Galaxy on November 23.
