Residents of Kpale-Xorse, a farming community in the Ho West District of the Volta Region, are in mourning following the tragic death of a farmer who went missing on Monday, September 1, 2025.
The deceased, identified as Mr. Adovor Kodzo Delali, believed to be in his 50s and a father of four, was discovered the following evening partially buried in a shallow stream behind his farmland.
According to relatives, Mr. Delali failed to return home after leaving for his farm, prompting family and neighbours to mount a search.
The team eventually found him in the stream, with bloodstains on the farm raising suspicion of foul play.

Assembly Member for the area, Mr. Divin Tutu, confirmed that he and other community leaders reported the matter to police, who visited the scene to begin investigations.
The body has since been retrieved and deposited at the Ho Teaching Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Reacting to the tragedy, Rev. Gideon Mortey, an associate pastor of the Christ Apostolic Church and a resident of Kpale-Xorse, described the death as disturbing.
He urged security agencies to step up patrols in the area to protect farmers and restore a sense of safety.
The incident has cast a heavy pall of sorrow over Kpale-Xorse, as family, friends, and residents struggle to come to terms with the shocking loss.
