Guinean goalkeeper Mohammed Camara has revealed that his decision to sign with Asante Kotoko was significantly influenced by former Kotoko captain Amos Frimpong.
Camara, who has inked a two-year deal with the Ghanaian giants from Soar Academy, becomes the club’s 10th addition in the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old, known for his strong performances with Soar Academy last season, is expected to bolster Kotoko’s squad as they aim to improve on their sixth-place finish in the previous Ghana Premier League season.
Camara made 26 appearances for Soar Academy and is enthusiastic about his new role at Kotoko.
Camara credited Frimpong’s positive feedback about Kotoko for his decision.
“Amos spoke highly of the club, mentioning the supportive environment, the passionate supporters, and the club’s ambition for success.
This convinced me that Asante Kotoko is the right place for me to advance my career,” Camara said.
With the addition of Camara, Kotoko aims to strengthen their squad and mount a stronger challenge in the upcoming season.
The club is now focused on integrating their new signings and preparing for a competitive season ahead.
