Black Stars midfielder Mohammed Kudus and his West Ham United teammates have arrived in the United States to continue their pre-season preparations for the upcoming campaign.

The 23-year-old Kudus was part of the squad in Austria, where they played two matches, including a 2-2 draw against Hungarian giants Ferencvaros.

Now, the team is based in Tampa and will engage in various activities, including an open training session in Jacksonville to meet West Ham United fans.

West Ham United will face Wolverhampton Wanderers and Crystal Palace as part of their pre-season friendlies before returning to England ahead of the new season.

Kudus has been a key player for West Ham since joining from Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam last summer.

In his first season, the Ghanaian attacking midfielder scored 14 goals and provided six assists across all competitions. Reflecting on his performance, Kudus is optimistic about the upcoming season.

“To start and announce myself, it was quite a good start for me personally [last season], but I believe I still have so much in me that I can still show to everyone.

We will work on it and try to double how I performed last season and be even better going forward," Kudus said.

“Personally, I want to do better than I did last season with numbers and performances, but most importantly help the team get back into Europe and challenge for the top six. That’s what my personal goal is around, helping the team."

Kudus, a graduate of the Right to Dream Academy, is aiming for an improved campaign in the 2024/25 season, focusing on both personal and team success.
