After Ghana's disappointing 2-0 loss to Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, Black Stars captain Mohammed Kudus has vowed to lead a resurgence as the team prepares for crucial upcoming matches against Angola and Niger.
In a heartfelt message shared on his Instagram account, Kudus addressed the recent struggles and issued an apology on behalf of the team, saying, “As someone who captained the team in the two games, it is with great humility and a deep sense of responsibility that I issue this statement.
On behalf of the entire team, I would like to extend our sincerest apologies to the people of Ghana for our recent performances against Sudan in Accra and Libya.”
Ghana, currently at the bottom of Group F with just two points, faces a daunting challenge, needing victories in both matches to keep their AFCON qualification hopes alive.
Sudan leads the group with seven points, adding urgency to the upcoming games on November 11th against Angola and November 15th against Niger.
Kudus expressed optimism and a sense of duty, stating, “We look forward to redeeming ourselves in the upcoming games.”
His leadership and determination will be crucial as the Black Stars aim to restore their performance and pride on the pitch.
The matches against Angola and Niger represent a make-or-break moment for Ghana's bid to qualify for AFCON 2025, and Kudus is calling on both players and fans to rally together for a decisive comeback.
