Ghanaian star Mohammed Kudus put in a stellar performance on Saturday as West Ham United claimed a 2-0 away victory against Crystal Palace in their second Premier League match of the 2024/25 season.

After a disappointing 2-1 loss to Aston Villa in their season opener, West Ham were determined to make a strong comeback.

Manager Julen Lopetegui included the 24-year-old Kudus in the starting lineup for the clash at Selhurst Park.

The first half ended without goals, but West Ham took charge in the second half, with Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen finding the back of the net to secure the win.

Kudus played a pivotal role in the match, staying on the pitch for 88 minutes before being substituted by Jean-Clair Todibo.

During his time on the field, Kudus had 35 touches, delivered two crosses (one of which was successful), and completed six out of eight attempted dribbles.

He also won nine out of 14 ground duels, though he lost possession nine times.

As West Ham look ahead, Kudus will be eager to open his goal account for the season when they face Antoine Semenyo's Bournemouth in the EFL Cup second round on Wednesday at the London Stadium.

Following that, they have a challenging Premier League fixture against Manchester City next weekend.
