Accra-based third division side Great Somas Football Club has announced the appointment of Moses Kanduri—CEO of Aceline BCNJ Group and Founder of ALExPay Africa—as the new Board Chairman of the club and its academy
This strategic move marks a major milestone in Great Somas FC’s long-term vision to elevate its football development pipeline and enhance its competitive edge within West Africa’s rapidly evolving football ecosystem.
According to the club, Kanduri’s arrival comes at a transformative moment, as Great Somas seeks to restructure both its senior team and youth academy into sustainable hubs for talent development, professional growth, and community impact.
Kanduri brings a wealth of experience to the role, having played a pivotal part in organizing Ghana’s international friendly against Chile in 2012. His collaborative engagements with several South American national teams are expected to accelerate the club’s ambitions for international exposure and player advancement.
As Board Chairman, Kanduri will be responsible for:
- Steering the club’s long-term strategic direction
- Leveraging global networks to create development and scouting pathways for emerging talent
- Leading a new era of professionalism, performance, and youth empowerment across both the senior team and academy
Great Somas FC has already produced a number of promising players, including Mathew Cudjoe Anim, Raymond Asante, Samuel Gidi, Stephen Sackey (Precision FC Dubai), Solomon Sosu (Al Ain, on loan at Al Nasr), Daniel Nunoo (SK Rapid), and William Kumadu (FC San Diego).
