Afrobeats star Mr Eazi has touched down in Ghana, only days after his widely talked-about wedding to Temi Otedola, daughter of Nigerian billionaire Femi Otedola.
The award-winning artiste, fresh from a string of high-profile celebrations across three continents, announced his arrival in Accra via Instagram Stories. Sharing a short video update, he wrote:
“Touch down Ghana, straight for a catch with my big brother, Hon. Julius Debrah, Chief of Staff to the President of Ghana. Always a pleasure.”
His post not only signalled his return to his adopted home but also highlighted his close ties with influential Ghanaian figures.
Mr Eazi, born Oluwatosin Ajibade, has long described Ghana as a second home.
He studied at Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), where he honed his craft before breaking onto the Afrobeats scene.
He also co-owns Untamed on Spintex Road, Accra, a property that doubles as the venue for his annual Detty Rave concert.
The singer’s whirlwind wedding to Temi Otedola—spanning Monaco (court ceremony), Dubai (traditional rites), and Iceland (church service)—was a showcase of glamour, cultural fusion, and star power.
The festivities drew global headlines, with Vogue reporting that the couple’s Dubai after-party turned the Otedola family’s basement into a vibrant shisha lounge.
Guests included some of Africa’s most prominent figures, among them business magnate Aliko Dangote.
Now back in Ghana, speculation is rife about whether Mr Eazi’s trip is simply for downtime with family and friends, or if new business and music ventures are on the horizon.
