Telecommunications company MTN has began a campaign against drug abuse. 

The campaign which is as part of MTN's 21-day Yello Care initiative was taken to tackle drug addiction and substance abuse.

The initiative which is a yearly event held in June encourages employees of MTN to volunteer and take up special initiatives in communities.

Addressing the youth in Tema Manhean in the Greater Accra Region as part of the initiative on Thursday, 20 June 2019, Human Resource Executive of MTN, Ms Amma Benneh-Amponsah charged the youth to desist from substance abuse in order to safeguard their future.

Meanwhile, the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB) has welcomed the partnership with MTN with a call on other private institutions to join the fight against substance abuse.
